Sorry for the Off topic post but Im getting no joy on the UK CF list.

I've got some cfmails running off a CFServer 4.5 sending via a remote SMTP.
Both are Win NT 4 which is always a worry. Everynow and again the remote
SMTP returns an error:

__________
"Error","TID=120","09/04/00","22:10:15","Failed to send the spooled mail
file, e:\CFUSION\MAIL\spool\A97.cfmail. SMTP server replied "Internal error:
Pending mail operations must be completed." Moved file to
e:\CFUSION\MAIL\undelivr\A98.cfmail."
__________

Then it'll keep doing that every time a cfmail is run. From then on no mails
will go through so they're all sent to the undeliverable directory. If I
stop/start the CF Application Server the problem will go away for a couple
of weeks.

Me being a CF person, Im 99.999% confident that the ColdFusion server is not
causing the problem, it's more likely the client's own SMTP server. All I
want is fuel to my argument... if anyone has ever come accross this problem
before or something similar, please tell me what the outcome was. If you
reckon it could be the CFServer, what's the cure?

Cheers
Taz
