Before this message I had spent about 2 hours looking through the Allaire
site, the Allaire forums, and a couple of CF books searching for information
on the "request" variables without any luck.  Now I know thanks to Doug and
this list! and how timely...  :-)

In fact, now that I think about it,  the only difference between local
variables and REQUEST variables is that REQUEST variables are available
across custom tag and <CFMODULE> calls. 

Thinking about them this way really makes them easier to approach and use...
