don't you hate those type of typos?

I've actually become more annoyed at the annoyance of OT posts (if that
makes any sense). One of the reasons that I pay much more attention to this
list rather than others is that it seems to be more of a community forum
than a technical mailing list (and I _like_ that). That means that having a
completely OT discussion is a welcome change.

My opinion? Unsubscribe. If we stop questioning posts and keeping levity up
than our community will die. And I for one don't want that to happen.

I rarely complain about list topics and postings... god knows I've done my
share of posting off-topic. But this stuff is almost enough to make me
unsubscribe from this list. Hal's explanation is plenty clear. And at the
risk of sounding like a brown-noser, Hal is a recognized authority in this
field; I trust what he says, and (especially) if you are new to fusebox, so
should you. It's just ridiculous to see him placed practically on the
defensive over something as silly as this, AND it's cluttering up the list.
Hal, you need not apologize; you were quite clear.

If you REALLY don't understand it, do what we all have to do on a regular
basis -- build some stupid frickin' pages, and TEST IT YOURSELF until you
understand it YOUR way. Then, by all means, offer your own explanation for
what you find. Another way of describing something is always welcome...
just stop hammering the busy gurus (who take their time to help us in just
about every way, almost to a fault!) with distracting petty nomenclature and
description issues.
