If you download the zipped file in the link below you'll get the web
clipping guide which details the palm.net architecture in great detail.

The main website for webclipping is
http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/webclipping/
Avantgo has a similar technology that is also pretty cool but I prefer the
web clipping architecture because you can basically create a palm app that
gets installed when you hotsync. This palm app, which looks just like any
other application with it's own icon, contains all images and any static
HTML pages(for example the a page with a form on it or privacy pages which
don't have to be dynamic). Submitting a form downloads a web clipping which
is a little HTML page with references to graphics that you've downloaded
already when you installed the app. The result is to cut down on the
tranmission of data because all you're sending to the server is form
variables or an href and all you're receiving is an HTML page with links to
graphics you've already downloaded.

Please elaborate! I'm very interested in developing apps that will run on a
Palm, and somehow interface with the web. Do you have any URLs to point to
or anything?
