HAH! And for those of you who are going to run
out and try to port scan think twice.

I know people who have gotten in major trouble
port scanning, how would you like someone sitting
outside of your house and peering at your windows
and locks determining their strengths and weaknesses?

Okay then, on the technical side BIG companies dont worry
but little guys like myself take a keen awareness to someone
port scanning their networks.

Port scans generate a lot of SYN traffic (hence smell like
DoS) and can be reasonable construed as such on repeated
attempts to port scan so you would be very wella dvised unless
you are supposed to be doing it, to NOT just go
port scan any ole network.

Many people use port sentry which will just plain shut down
a router int he case of mass amounts of SYN traffic which
can be set off, by a port scan... be very aware..

New X-Ray devices used at Dover to look for smuggled cigarettes and
immigrants inside trucks from France.

Sorry, are we talking about computers?
