While yes (and I'm not so sure I agree with your percentage, but really who
cares at this point) some of the posts are what you would consider
meaningless they help lighten the day for others who happen to be uptight
(but not as uptight as you apparently) and could use the laugh or giggle.
There is still quite a bit of usefull information doled out very diligently
by the list participants.  I personally like the list just the way it is,
and as others will probably agree I'm perfectly capable of speaking my mind
when someone gets out of hand with their "preaching" (no religious pun
intended, or implied).

Furthermore the bandwidth of this list is so small (say compared to the
cf-talk list) that I'd have to say "So What?"
