I would also definitely reccomend taking a lesson from JeffK's website.
He's hosted by somethingawful.com (btw there is some language on that
site...just a warning for the purists among us...foreveryone else though its
a great site)

perhaps some scrolling marquees.  Oh and a guestbook!

page looks cool.
I would suggest some flash to make it more impressive.  The red text
flashing would be perfect.  Simple colored text just isn't l33t enough
