You really don't have to if you use this for local images dir:
<cfset images = "#GetDirectoryFromPath( GetCurrentTemplatePath() )#images\">
and this for global:
<cfparam name="request.images" default="#GetDirectoryFromPath(
GetCurrentTemplatePath() )#images\">
That way, everything keeps working without modification.
