I know we just recently discussed something similar to this but I think that
it would be very beneficial. I have a decent archive of messages but I
agree with the assertion that a newsgroup would be perfect for this list.
Perhaps just a mirror of the regular list traffic gets posted to a
newsgroup. Allaire's knowledge base is really lacking but much of the
traffic on this list is good and should be archived. Also this would help
the people who feel that they cannot take the traffic on this list. If
there were a newsgroup mirror they could just unsubscribe from the list and
read the NG instead. It would also allow for self moderation. If you do
not like certain threads, you just don't have to read them. I'd like to see
this go somewhere.
