Hi all,
I think that Hal's little utility is turning out to be so useful that we
should all give it a little thought. My clients are over the moon about
this - I have rarely seen such a positive reaction. Basically, I make a
quick mock-up, cardboard application, drop the DevNotes into the footer, and
the clients are happily occupied. As I flesh the application out
Of course, like Emilio, I have made some mods of my own, especially
noteSUBtypes, so can have a SUGGESTION about LOOK-AND-FEEL, or a QUESTION
about TEXT/CONTENT.
Anyway, my point is that I don't want to have a non-standard version off the
main-line of future development. I think this little app warrants a bit of
thought from all of us, with the aim of arriving at a version that addresses
95% of the needs for 95% of us.
So, I'll start my wish-list from Hal's original:
- email notification, including the text of the note
- email SUBJECT attribute
- email FROM attribute
- responses (ie answers) to ALL types of note
- uploads for ALL types of note
- completed flag for ALL types of note
- archiving of "deleted" notes, for inclusion in historical report
- note Subtypes
- integration into more substantial bug/feature tracking application??
What do you all think? Hal, what about you?
Thanks everyone,
Lee (Bjork) Borkman
