Greetings everyone,

We have a contract with a client, to finish the beta version of a public
website by April 14th. This is a firm, very firm deadline. Due to
continued illness within the company, we are behind in our project schedules
and are in need of assistance from a telecommunting fusebox subcontractor
with some (or all) of this project. A (very) small part of the project is
already complete. This is a fixed-bid project, so we can only offer a fixed
amount to complete the work, with a retainer to get you started. I hate
asking subcontractors to work under a fixed bid, because I believe every bit
of your time is worth something, but we're locked in on this one. I want to
be up-front about this now, so as not to offend anyone used to working
strictly T&M.

If you are interested, please send me an email off-list with your
qualifications and your typical subcontractor's rate, and your typical
retainer amount/percentage. I will disclose to you the nature of the
project, the amount we are able to provide as a retainer, and the remaining
amount that I can provide upon completion. If you are still interested, we
can then continue with a non-disclosure agreement and detailed project
specifications. The specs are quite clear, and the contract is very well
planned. I've just run out of time and need someone to keep my ass out of
the fire.

To be considered, you'll need the following:

-- Experience with ColdFusion 4.5 with Fusebox
-- Intermediate SQL
-- The site is based on Microsoft SQL Server 7.0; we can discuss how
database administration, design and configuration will be handled between us
-- The ability to deliver the specified product on time -- there is a clause
in the contract which allows the client a discount if we are late with the
beta; we do not wish to lose any more revenue on this that we are about to.
-- A willingness to provide at least a biweekly update on your progress
between now and April 14th -- not to micromanage or hassle you, but to make
sure that things remain on track. (We've had problems with subcontractors
in the past that we do NOT wish to repeat!!)
-- MSN Messenger and Microsoft Netmeeting or a Net2Phone account for voice
and text collaboration over the Internet (other means may be considered, but
for the sake of expediency this is what we are already set up with here.)
-- The willpower to work within the specifications but still be creative.
We definitely don't want to ADD work to our list! ;)

A qualified fusebox developer should be able to deliver within the timeframe
specified. I apologize that I do not have fusedocs, but the signed
documents which outline the project specifications are very very clear, and
there are numerous clauses in the contract that prevent scope-creep.

Depending on how our discussion with the fixed bid amount pans out, we'd be
willing to offer a bonus for finishing the project early. And because I
have more projects coming down the line, continued work between us (under
much better circumstances!) may be possible if this project works out well.

Again, I hate the restrictions we are under, but we were not anticipating
having to subcontract this project. If you are interested in helping out on
this, please use the contact information below. We'll be making our
decision by the end of the week.

Thank you for your time,
