I know there are sites that use fusebox and have search engines. I used to
work on one. What do they use for their onsite search tool?

of the load balancer as opposed to the application.  Though ClusterCats is

an option for you, is it possible to configure your current balancing
solution
to use session-based balancing rather than request-based?  This would leave

session on whichever server the balancer selects at the beginning of the
session.  It's not as efficient as request-based balancing, and you'll have
to
be very wary of session timeouts, but if that's what you need...
