Actually, for real, I have toyed with the idea of making Microsoft's Index
Server do the job. Only problem for me is, it doesn't work with MS Cluster
Server. You can, however, run Index Server on a single PC and have it index
remote content. The trick, of course, is calling that Index Server remotely
by using CFOBJECT. I knew somebody had figured out how to do this over a
year ago, but I forgot the specifics.
Y'all can whine about MS, but Index Server really does a good job of
indexing and what-not. I think it is a lot better than Verity; but for
CFers, Verity is what comes outta the box.
