Try this. I have thing i do, I can't say exactly why, but... (don't laff)...
As the VERY FIRST LINE of code in index.cfm; put the following:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> 

(hope that doesn't get chopped up in the e-mail).
This doctype line gets passed along as the first line of text seen by
everything else, and it has help ed some stuff, I think...
