Either <CFSEARCH or verity itself is pretty fussy about what you pass it -
find a CF site with a search box and enter just the word "or", or "@", or
"foo and bar and", or any number of other slightly odd search criteria and
90% will return an ugly "Error occurred in tag CFSEARCH" error.
There's a tag on the dev exchange called verityclean i think which will get
rid of most of the garbage, but you may still need to do stuff to remove
"or" and "and" from the beginning and end of the search string, and
consecutive occurences ("this and and that" causes an error).

IMHO it is pretty shocking that this occurs, but there you go.
