I started with NetObjects Fusion, Mike! I liked it a lot, but the problem I
kept running into was people concentrating on the placement of objects, or
the colors, or the overall layout when all I wanted was the functionality. I
told, begged, pleaded and implored with them to ignore everything else. What
they ignored was me! They wanted to talk about whether the buttons should be
on the left or on top and what color the background should be, etc.
So if you can get the results you want with NetOjbects Fusion, go for it, I
say.

I'll probably get no end of flames for this but I have had this problem too
and use NetObjects Fusion to get the job done. Its cheap and very very easy
to use to create a basic web site with a graphical interface that is easy to
layout and change. There are no frills, no room for test harnesses or
devnotes...but the client wanted to see something that looked good and
served no practical purpose other than that....hey, they got what they
wanted and were happy...who am I to complain.

This was the same reaction I got here at my work. The "work-around" for
this is that we are building an html version of a wireframe for our client
that can be customized to look cool for the individual clients. The project
we are currently working on has gone over extremely well, even though our
contact at the company is not very "tech-savvy," as they say.
That is the way it is working now-- I plan to modify (and/or rebuild it in
PHP or ASP, since we don't have a copy of CF in-house) the app to accept
templates that would rearange the look-and-feel for each of our different
customers. So far, having a clickable skeleton is leaps-and-bounds better
than the paper-based "content page" system these folks were using before I
got here. Not that I'm taking the credit, of course-- that goes to Stan,
the inventor of wireframes...

| Now I'm trying to convince the guys we need to use it for our stuff. But
for
