RE: Strange characters

You can use HTMLEditFormat function to escape those
characters like:

<cfinput type="Text" name="EventName"
value="#HTMLEditFormat(attributes.eventName)#"
message="Please enter the name of the event!"
required="Yes" maxlength="160">
