Hi Kevin/Giz/Peter,

I'm experiencing something pretty weird. Actually i have created a database
together with the cdata and cglobal manually. It works perfectly fine when i
do some tests locally, that is, the tests are performed on my machine
whereby i have a personal edition of coldfusion server (4.5.1) and with the
database residing on the server (oracle 8.0.6).

Well, but now when i put the files - cfm files - on the server to enable my
colleagues to perform the test from their PC and on the Server itself, the
cold fusion server prompts me the error.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with the database since it worked when i've
done the tests locally.I just can't get the point... have any idea?

Actually sounds more to me like a client library/server mismatch issue.
Best thing to do is make sure that all the software is fully patched to the
latest available patch levels.

Sounds like your problem resides in "cold fusion not recognize the database
format". Make sure your setting the datasource up properly by selecting
Native Drivers and "Oracle80" and that your datasource verifies. I'm no
Oracle dba but that would be my first guess

Hi Everybody,

I have some problems while trying to store client variables in my database -
Oracle 8.06. In fact, i have created the CDATA and CGLOBAL tables manually
since coldfusion server does not recognize the database format. Has anyone
experience such problem?

Here is the error message:
