Geek culture - yippee!! Who would have thought that the people on a computing mailing-list would know anything about the characters in a science fiction book?!? NOTE: Hal is the only one who feigned ignorance ;-) Anyway, Locke and Demosthenes are the pseudonyms used by Ender Wiggin's genius big brother and sister, as they go about subverting the world via judicious use of newsgroups and mailing lists. Of course, they often put forward views which they don't actually believe, but argue the case so well that they manage to manipulate everyone, etc, etc. So who is real on this list, and who is not? Who is yanking you around, playing Good Cop Bad Cop? Who is playing the roles of Ender, Bean, Peter and Valentine? Steve? Hal? Stan? Nat? Lee? Fred? Patrick? John? Man, I gotta get a life! But I never heard of it either, 'cept what I read on bathroom walls. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fred T.
