Hi Stacey,

I would think that the FuseAction or even the FuseBox itself would be a more
appropriate level to be exposed as a Web Service.

I think of FuseActions as public methods, and fuses as private methods.
FuseActions are the kinds of things that people want the application to do.
Fuses are the low-level, near-atomic functions that the application invokes
in order to perform the desired high-level functions.

Nice idea, though. Will it ever really happen? I know I get so much use
out of CORBA objects. My life has never been the same. ;-)

Lee.

ok how's this techno garble:

What if each fuse in a fusebox application were made available also as a
CFMODULE (check), Custom Tag (check), and....a web service? I've been doing
some research lately on remote method calls via SOAP and
thought...hey...couldn't this be used to make fuses available to other
applications? Even in other languages? List all these new services/fuses
through a UDDI (uddi.org) type system and have a killer Intranet/Extranet
!!! For what...and how it would work and for what reason I don't know but
might be cool. ;)

I don't understand all the concepts 100% (obvious isn't it?) but my spidy
senses say sumtin's up here.
