I think I've had back bacon twice in My life and I've been a Montrealer my
whole life. The real story why people always talk abou Canadian bacon is
that it's damn good and more often than not much higher meat content.

My last job had me going down south often and let me tell you firsthand
there's big difference...then again EVERYTHING was grease down there..

Alan,

Assuming you are an American, I'll excuse your ignorance. In Canada
"Canadian" bacon is known as Back Bacon. If you wanted Canadian food you
should have asked for poutine (think of it as cheese fries with gravy).

Hey, my wife and did the drive from Seattle up to Anchorage, and as I was
passing through Canada, we stopped for breakfast at a Husky diner. I told my
wife "You watch and see..." I ordered bacon and eggs. And AHA! Did the bacon
come out as Canadian bacon? NoOoOo, it was good ol' strip bacon, as
down-home American as corn bread and black eyed peas. SoOoOoOo how come
Canadians don't serve Canadian bacon? Huh? Are they ashamed of it? Whassup
with that???
