Jen,
        Digging through my old code, this is what I got:
<CFSET ArticleSummary=REReplaceNoCase(#Summary#, "", "-", "ALL")>
<CFSET ArticleSummary=REReplaceNoCase(#ArticleSummary#, "||",
"'",
"ALL")>

        It looks like I used REReplace to address hyphens and apostrophes only,
but
I guess your problem is much more extensive than mine. REReplace would o
nly
be a hack and not really a solution to the foreign language problem. Sor
ry!

Charley,

I don't understand. It just seems to be throwing out the wrong character
s
for the ascii codes. For example:

Estoy Embarazada, y Ahora Qu?

It should be showing up as:

Estoy Embarazada, y Ahora ¿Qué? (¿ is an inverted questio
n
mark, é is an e with an acute accent). It's either changing the
character to something else (in the instance of the inverted question mar
k)
or just not displaying it altogether (in the instance of the e-acute).

How can I do a rereplace on this? The ascii codes are *correct*.

I run REReplace to make sure all the extended characters would show up
correctly. Seems to work fine =)

A bit off topic but a lot of western Canadians feel exactly that way most
of
the time.
