Well see that's not necessarily true. CF, PHP and JSP have what are known as
dynamic includes which means if you have a fuseaction of this than you can
have your switch check the value and include what you want, but ASP does not
do it like that, it will do all of the includes first, and then only send
out what you need.
So if you have(pseudo code):
switch (fuseaction){
case "this":
include("myFile.cfm");
break;
case "that":
include("myfile2.cfm");
break;
defaultcase:
include("myFile3.cfm");
}
In the first three languages you are only including myFile.cfm. In ASP you
are including all three files, and then just not sending on to the browser
the results of file2 and file3. Now I know there has been a lot of work on
ASP FB, and you may want to check out Topica, there is a mailing list
dedicated to just that, but as far as I know it is the one major web
language that there is not a good port of the core files for.
Also I am not an ASP guy, but I have developed in all three of the other
languages, so I may be misstating why it doesn't work right now.
