Well, there is nothing to keep people from throwing their two cents in now.
Heck, Kevin Roche took my base code and went to town with it and added some
nifty features. He sent them to me and I got them incorporated into the
baseline code. I've also had other people send me updates that I've put
into the code.
Of course having it hosted at sourceforge or maybe cfopen.org would mean
that it would probably get incorporated on a more timely basis.
Anyone else have any opinions on this? Aside from the occasional suggestion
for a function I've not had much input from the developer community (other
than Kevin Roche's spectacular efforts.) Would anyone else like me to put
the project on Sourceforge or cfopen.org?

Presumbaly CF code, as in you want to show an example of some cool function
you've written and want it to display properly? Good idea.
>-Be able to add urls and have it automatically link them
Also a good idea. You can manually add links into a post now but having the
system automatically link them would be useful.
>-add cflocations so double inserts don't happen
Checking the current code, many of the admin functions have cflocations on
them but it looks like I missed putting them on the article entry. Good catch.

That is in my general plans. Working on CF5, even with the XML_Tools, seems
to be uneven for developing FB4. Sometimes things run just fine. Other
times the system throws errors at me. Haven't yet had the time to track
down what is causing the problems.

Yes, RSS and RDF feeds are in Version 2 of the Fuseblog. I had RSS .092 in
the original then added the RDF feed in Version 2.

Hmmm. You can set the date and time of an entry in Fuseblog2 at the time
you are entering it. I guess it would be a matter of setting the query that
displays the blog entries to not pick up anything after the current date.
That way you could 'preload' several entries and they wouldn't show up
until their assigned date. You could go on vacation and no one would know
you were gone. :-)
>-add an email list to it. So people can subscribe like a newsletter.
I guess this falls into two different possible implementations.
1) An e-mail list so that people could have entries mailed to them when
they are posted. Which could be interesting if you are preloading entries
per your suggestion above.
2) An e-mail list for the owner of the site to send out various
announcements, etc. but not necessarily based on posting an entry to the blog.
Actually I think Luca Unti suggested this to me a month or two back -
having some type of developer's e-mail list for people that wanted to help
with improving Fuseblog. I guess that would fall into option 2 I have above.

More than one person can post to a blog now. You can have users register
and give them permissions to post to the blog.
>-attach files to blogs
Hmm. Now that is one of those things I hadn't considered. See, that is why
it is good to get feedback from other users.
>I have a head full of ideas.
Obviously. There are times when I wonder if you ever sleep. :-)
