Jeff, thanks for all your help so far. I am going to go off now and spend this 
evening digesting what I have learned . It get's a whole lot more exciting once 
the understanding starts to kick in! I'm gonna look your book up tommorrow 
morning, sounds like a good tool to have near. Next thing I need to start

Thanks for you inquiry.  I like to think my books are universally
helpful, but I'm a bit biased. ;)

In terms of content, my book is different from DF4 in that mine
covers the FLiP process as well as the framework aspects of Fusebox. 
I don't cover things like MVC, accessibility, and other optional
techniques, but rather just the more central issues.

Yes, the book is still current.  I've also published a small (about
50 pages) reference guide titled "What's New in Fusebox 4.1".  It
covers the changes that have been made to Fusebox between 4.0 and
4.1.  Both are available at my publisher's site:

BTW, I'll offer a newbie tip: MXDU is happening later this week (17th
& 18th), and Proton Arts has been known to offer discounts during CF
conferences...
