Perhaps someone can discuss this with me off-line. I am having trouble with my
developer workstation install of CF for use with javabeans.

Subject: Configure Developer CF for Java bean access
Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 14:50:04 +0000

I am struggling with setting up my developer machines to use javabeans. What
is the typical installation/configuration for this?

We are running Win 2000 and need to install both the 6.1 and 7 CF versions on
different machines. (Should I have IIS running?)

I gather that I must:
1. Install the Sun Java SDK (what version? I have tried 1.4. Is 5 ok?)
2. Do I also need to install JRUN? Is this necessary or just extra overhead
on a developer machine?
3. When I install CF 6.1 or 7 I must select the J2ee installation for (EAR or
WAR) installation. Which is recommended? WAR is simple to install on the Sun
J2ee.
4. After installing CF how do I start/stop CF? What is the website root? I
cannot seem to get CF pages to render. I cannot open the CF administrator
page.

The MM site does not discuss these issues. HELP!

Thanks
