I've done something small like creating pdf files on the fly and talking to xerces for XML
stuff. It's pretty ok, there are many ways to do it (CFOBJECT and CFXs are ones that I've
tried).

I think it doesn't relate to fusebox too much at all, you can just put those calls to java
classes to your act_ files as any other CF code and then use them in your fusebox application.

Installation can be a pain sometimes, it took me too long to run those things in my Linux box,
but it does work. I would suppose that there are many ISPs out there who don't like the idea
of running Java code with ColdFusion.

Have anybody use java classes within coldfusion templates ???

Does this will usefull for FuseBox? We can do the heavy core programming with java classes, but this will a problem for people that doesn t have a dedicated server, because not all virtual server allow customizing the coldfusion server ( we need modify or access tha class path).

Keep in mind that NEO will have integration with Java. This can facility the java programming/performance/integration with coldfusion code.
