Let's see...

An Application is composed of Circuits.

Each Circuit has its own directory.  A Circuit only needs the core file if it needs to act as a stand-alone application sometimes.

Each Circuit can implement Fuseactions, which are high-level, public functions.  Fuseactions do not normally have their own file, but are defined and coded within the fbx_switch file.

Fuseactions are usually implemented by calling Fuses.  Fuses are small, atomic, private functions, each coded as a separate template.

I hope that helps.  Circuits are the highest-level components of an Application, and can often be used as Applications in their own right.  Fuses, on the other hand, are the lowest-level components of an Application.  They are never called independently.

Have fun,

Can someone tell me the difference between a Circuit and a Fuse? Also if I
am reading this right; then you do not need the core files in a circuit but
you do in a fuse?
