Hi folks, I can't seem to figure something out, so I hoped you guys might find it in your hearts to help me with it ;-)
What I'm trying to do comes down to this: I've got a table with (dutch zip)-ranges that are assigned to companies. Rangeid zip_from zip_to companyid 1 1000 1010 2 2 1011 1025 5 3 1026 1031 8 4 1032 1034 5 5 1035 1060 2 ... .. 9999 7 What I want to do next is split up ranges and merge ranges. the merging shouldn't be a problem. The splitting is where I'm stuck. Maybe it's not possible but here's what I'm trying to build. First you select a row. I do a query for the right values, populate a query for a cfselect and display the following on a new page: A = a readonly input field with the zip_from value B = a cfselect with the remaining zips (1001/1010) C = a cfselect with all companies A B C 1000 1010 companyX submitButton If you change the value of B to say 1005 and C to company and press submit, the next screen should look like this: A B C 1000 1005 companyY 1005 1010 companyX Again: A B C 1000 1005 companyY 1005 1007 companyZ 1008 1010 companyX If the form would be submitted and the last B is the original zip_to, the changes are written in de table. Aaaargh!!! One row I can do, but fixing it so the changes aren't made and a new row appears with the next range is somewhat above my hat (a dutch expression) maybe some of you could shine your light on it? Thanks for taking the time to at least try to understand this mail. ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bUrFMa.bV0Kx9 Or send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
