As for
faTranslated, it's a request-scope variable. That means it's available
globally to every template involved in the HTTP request, including suctom
tags and cfmodule calls. The problem with this (as I found to my
disappointment) is that it makes recursive cfmodule calls a little tricky,
because request.faTranslated continues to be "true" even within the
recursive call, which can really stuff things up.
Anyway, this has all been sorted out in FB3, and
recursion now works like a dream. Of course, that is but one way in which
FB3 has cleaned things up.
