Yes indeed, Mark.  You can use a back-end FB3 app to generate and maintain a static site.  I do this for a large chunk of the New South Wales Roads and Trafficking Authority's 20,000-page Intranet, and almost all of its 4,000 Internet site.

Of course, that's all getting replaced by a few hundred thousdand dollars of Interwoven later this year.  that''l be nice ;-)

See ya,

I was looking at the Samples/Tutorials Generating Static Pages on Bjork.net.

Does this mean that one could have some code that could effectively take a site that was in database/fb3 and convert it to website that was set of static pages. (Leaving aside the whole point of a dynamic website for a sec).

Just that I am looking after a site that is static, and they don’t have the to convert, but I would love to cut down on the maintenance etc, and if it was all was in a database, etc

Then all I need do is make the change and create the new pages etc.

? am I on the right path here?
