I'm not sure what John meant by "new, unproven hot-fix", but the FEX core
files have been in use for quite some time on production applications, with
nothing but praise and no bugs found for many months.

We still have only ONE true version of the core files - and they're at
fusebox.org. The FEX files should be considered "cutting edge". If you've
been getting an ulcer because of poor support for error handling in the
official FB3 core files, FEX will solve some of your problems, as I have no
doubt FuseQ will also.

I made the FEX core files because I personally had a difficult time
developing and supporting FB3 apps. Erik and I are now just sharing some of
our work to the public.
