Actually, FuseQ is completely compatible with existing FB3 apps. The
only difference is you can call multiple fuseactions with one page
request. This does open up a LOT of new possibilities; however, you can
still use the "plain-Jane" FB3 methods people are using now. Allpme.com
is using FuseQ and I only have about 5 FrontOfQ calls in the entire
site. The rest is "standard" FB3.

I see FuseQ as more of a transition similar to moving from C to C++.
Bjorne Soustroup wrote that he expected people to slowly migrate from C
to C++ and not jump in 100% C++ right away. FuseQ let's you add a
little new functionality and "test the water" before re-writing
anything.

I haven't looked at FEX yet but it's my understanding that files to
handle errors are loaded whether or not errors are present. FuseQ
doesn't have that extra overhead. I'll be looking at FEX soon to
compare, but so far, I've been really pleased with FuseQ.

John is feverishly working to finish up getting an article about FuseQ
ready to post with the code. He said probably tomorrow evening but let
him catch up after last weekend too.

Theoretically, you can use them both. But the way that each is
implemented (specific modifications to the core), you probably can't.

FuseQ (as I see it) does things quite differently than plain-jane FB3
does now - the way you think about apps might change some to fully
utilize its power.

FEX just fixes the crappy error handling in FB3.

But the best bet would be to evaluate both (once FuseQ becomes
available) and use whichever you felt solved your problems best.
