Hal and John's book gets you into FB coding tout suite. It's a great
distillation of "coding Fusebox"; no FLiP. The book Nat and I wrote is
Fusebox soup-to-nuts. It starts with Fusebox history, goes through the
framework and coding, and winds up with FLiP. All this is tied around
development of a fictitious site.

The latter is the most complete reference to Fusebox available; the
former is the coder's compass you'll want to keep in hand while
programming. Just as I have 8 books on my shelf about Linux because each
one has its strengths, I'd keep both of these for their differing
approaches. Of course I'd like everyone to buy my book, but I'll tell
you honestly that Hal's work is like a great composer's music--you
profit from collecting every bit of it you can find. Combine that with
John's technical expertise, and it's a tough combination to beat. And
they are NOT offering me payola for hyping their book (more's the pity).
