DTD is the description of XML structure. Like saying that fusedoc XML uses <string>, <number> etc tags. And those tags have such attributes etc. You don't really need the DTD if you're not writing a fusedoc XML parser or validator or something like that. BTW, the DTD is pretty easy to understand, I suggest you print it out and read it through or even put it next to your monitor when you're new to XML fusedocs.
