Thanks John, I also had to restart to test out the updates. But according to Forta, you can flush Studio's VTM files by using 'Ctrl + Alt + Shift + C'. I didn't realize this until after I restarted, so I haven't seen it in action, but it is one of his tips o' the day.
My co-worker installed the new updater and his is behaving the same way as I described in my original message, so I just mine is correct, so I think I might actually dive into the VTMs, they look pretty simple...
