Hi Judith, the Advisory Committee is the community-elected group formerly
known as the Steering Committee. This committee and the Council have agreed
upon a new "Organizational Document" that is essentially a clarification of
the earlier official announcements. The new document is available on
Fusebox.org.

As for the Standards Committee, it is composed of all the Council members,
plus a slightly smaller number of representatives chosen from and by the
members of the AdCom/SteerCom.

I hope that makes things a little clearer.

Anyway, as you will have noticed, there are several interesting things
afoot, especially regarding extensions to the FB3 framework, so the
Standards Committee has a good deal of work ahead.

Thanks very much,
LeeBB

Congratulations to Lee, Benjamin, David and Patrick!

But I'm confused. I thought the Steering Committee elected the Standards
Committee. Now who is the Advisory Commitee and where do they come in?

Judith
