you have to tell cf to create the client storage tables when you create
the datasource as a client variables repository. In the CF
administrator, go to the client storage page, and remove your current
repository. Then recreate it, making sure that the 'create tables'
option is checked. I'm not quite sure on the verbage, since I don't have
the admin to look at right now, but that should get you close.

Subject: Client VAriable problem

Hi All

I posted this on CF-Talk too - so don't get mad

I have a site - (CF5/SQL7/W2000) FB3 of course! on my desktop, (also on
an
ISP - Intermedia). I have just copied it all to a new laptop to take and
show a client (CF5/SQL2000/W2000). I scripted the SQL setup and it ran
ok.
The site uses client variables, stored in the database. I have configured
client storage/users/logons/permissions etc identically on both machines,
but when I try and run it through the laptop I get an ODBC error Base
Table
Not Found .... Invalid Object Name CGLOBAL etc etc. I thought CF
configured
these tables automatically as soon as it hit a <cfapplication tag> ?
Everything runs ok apart from the client variable functions. If I disable
this part of the site I get no errors and DB access runs unhindered

Both my versions of CF5 are single use developer configurations

Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm probably just being stupid

Cheers

Richard
