Subject: RE: DevNotes!Shawn,FLiP is short for FuseBox LifeCycle Process and is a development methodology for designing web applications (put together in conjunction with FuseBox, although it can be used without FuseBox). The best place for information right now on FLiP is probably the recent conversations by Hal and Steve (www.halhelms.com or www.secretagents.com). Otherwise, I could probably write a book about it right here.Check out the conversations and if there are still questions feel free to post them here and we will get a good debate going.-- Jeff-----Original Message-----

Subject: DevNotes!
Hal, Steve and Lee,
I've been working on a project that coming into it's 3rd year. What
started as a simple way to track student information has exploded into a
very large application. One of the biggest headaches has been the
process of "information gathering" with the client (large University).
Using the "old development" routine I would build it and then show it to
them, then they would tell me what was missing or how much was wrong.
With the "new" (at least to me) FLiP idea I'm re-working their
application in a few months of what took over 2 years before! Now they
can comment on and change whatever they want BEFORE I spend all of my
time doing the "hard" stuff. ;-)
One of the INVALUABLE tools has been DevNotes Deluxe that I'm using with
the client. They are SO IMPRESSED that they can make their comments
right online, no going back and forth to an e-mail message, etc. THANK
YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I realize that Hal, Steve and Lee all contributed and wanted to thank
all three of them for their hard work. I just wanted to express my
thanks and really that of my client!
