I know what you mean, but in many cases, if it occurs to me that the functionality would be nice to have, it will probably occur to the customer as well. If not now, then certainly after (in this case) they get some jerk trying to log in 1000 times in a row.
Some of the stuff will come up in wireframe, some in prototype, and, in my experience, some will always come up about a month after the project goes live. So I guess I don't have a hard and fast answer for you - even though I have absolutely *no* clients that I can sit with all the time. I do try to keep the clients on-task as much as possible - like don't argue with me about the font color of the wireframe, but clients being what they are will never think of everything the first time around. Blasphemy, I know, but at least it's never happened to me. -----Original Message----- From: Erki Esken [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 6:15 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: FLiP and Prototyping > My personal opinion is that I have done enough login pages to know that > if you offer that kind of feature to a client, they will almost always > want it. Roger, I didn't actually want to concentrate on this one login page case. I'd just like to hear how people gather more info about complex background tasks from clients and how they save and use that info. I redesigned/recoded a local auction and e-commerce site in FB3 and I had the luxury to work at their office (part of the time anyway) so I could always ask them about specific details on their processes. Now I'm going to take on clients who can't sit with me (nor I with them) all the time and we have to manage the process some other way. So I'm just looking for how others do it... .erki ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bUrFMa.bV0Kx9 Or send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
