Let me try that again...
Hi all,
I've read through a bunch of posts, but can't resolve my problem. I'm
trying to set up a copyfitline rule. I'm doing a 2 line name badge. I only
want to copyfit the 2nd line. (I need to have the two lines in one text
frame so I can center the text vertically when I don't have a second
line.)
I can't get the rule to work without giving me an error. I'm hoping
someone can see something I'm missing.
My rule is: CopyfitLine("", Field("Company"), "Univers 67 CondensedBold",
16, 216, 8, false);
I'm pretty sure that's the correct way to define the font name. When I
validate I'm told "Function does not return a value".
I've loaded fonts from Advanced>Load Fonts. I've got Use Local Fonts
checked under the Advanced Acrobat menu. I've tried copying the fonts into
my Library>Fonts folder. I've looked at my fonts.err log file in the
Printable folder (font in question is not listed there). I've looked at
fonts.ini file. I see Univers 67 CondensedBold;Univers-CondensedBold. If I
try Univers-CondensedBold in my rule, the error changes to
Univers-CondensedBold is not a loaded font.
I've pretended to create a formated text resource so I could look at the
source and see how the font is defined there (Univers 67 CondensedBold).
I've looked in the Printable>FusionPro>Fonts folder where I see a bunch of
fonts including:
Univers-CondensedBold3a1a02.bfk
Univers-CondensedBold.bfk
Univers-Condensed.pfa
Univers-CondensedBold3a1d01.pfa
Univers-CondensedLigh3a1d00.bfk
Univers-CondensedLigh3a1d00.pfa
Univers-CondensedBold3a1d01.bfk
Univers-CondensedBold.pfa
Univers-CondensedBold3a1900.bfk
Univers-Condensed.bfk
Univers-CondensedOblique.bfk
Univers-CondensedLigh3a1e02.bfk
Univers-CondensedOblique.pfa
Univers-CondensedLight.pfa
Univers-CondensedLigh3a1e02.pfa
Univers-CondensedBold3a1a02.pfa
Univers-CondensedLight.bfk
Univers-CondensedBold3a1e03.bfk
Univers-CondensedBold3a1e03.pfa
Univers-CondensedBold3a1900.pfa
It seemed strange to me to have all those seemingly redundant listings
with the numbers when there was a base one without numbers added to it. I
thought it might be confusing Fusion. I deleted all those font listings
from the folder, went back into Acrobat and told it to load fonts. All
those listings came back.
Any ideas?
thanks,
kim
