Kind of coming in on the middle of this but, you said that FusionPro would 
recognize the " ". Then have you tried this one...


if (Field("Phone") == "")
        return "";
else
        return Field("Phonelabel") + ' ' + Field("Phone");

In theory this should return a blank line if the phone is blank, and return a 
tagged text line with the   character that FusionPro recognizes. Also, try 
' ' in place of the  .
