Hi Heather,
You can prefill a field and still allow the customer to edit the text
right in the PrintOne Template manager. You do not need to create a rule
for this.
Siomply create your template and be sure that it contains the field.
Then upload the template as you normally would.
Go to the tab "Variable Fields"; In the drop down-menu "Prefill Form"
for that specific field select "Prefill" and then hit the "Apply"
button. Next hit the "Map Prefill Values" button and it will open up a
new window called "Variable Prefill Options"; In the column named
"Default Value(Used when Loading)" enter the text that you would like to
prefill; Again hit the apply button. Now the field will contain the
information that you prefilled and if the customer would like to they
can still edit the field.
