Matt,

I re-read your recent posts about the font problem. You stated you're working
on a XP using Acrobat 6. That's the same type of system and software I'm using.
I don't know if it's related or not, but you also stated that you were given
these fonts for this project by your "prepress dept". You didn't state what
style of fonts you were given (OpenType, TrueType, Type 1, etc). So, by any
chance did they give you a Mac font instead of a PC? I seem to remember that
there are slight differences in the way that mac and pc fonts tell a computer
what the styles of a font are - even within the OpenType format. You may want
to go back to your prepress dept and ask if they can convert these fonts to a
PC version for you. Maybe even into a different format such as a Type 1.

A while back I had a problem with a customer supplied WarnockPro OpenType font.
We even purchased a new copy directly from fonts.com off their website.
FusionPro was not able to correctly discern the differences when we used tags
<b> <i> and so on. It worked fine on my desktop version, but when we created an
Asset.dat file for use on FP server, we continually got an error. When I
changed it to a completely different font - it worked.

So I converted the OT font to a Type 1 form, removed all references to the old
OT font from FusionPro (even erasing the reference lines and resaving the
fonts.ini file and deleting the fonts that are listed in the "C:\Program
Files\Printable\FusionPro\Fonts" location), reloaded the new Type1 into
FusionPro, and the font worked as it should.

Good Luck.
