My apologies to everyone for the spastic posting. I copied my message into a text editor and found a mysterious character that seemed to be freaking things out. One more try...
I have a question about making tickets with different quantities for different ticket types. Say I have ticket layouts for a floor pass, a different layout for a stage pass, etc. And a database with a field named Version reading floor, stage, etc. I know how to make an onrecordstart rule and set the body page usage based on the field. But, if I wanted to make 500 tickets for floor, 250 tickets for stage, and so on, is there a way to make a rule that returns the body page based on the field and then if that field equals floor, compose 500 records numbered 001-500 and if the field equals stage, compose 250 records numbered 001-250? I realize I can just make separate PDF files for each ticket type and do sequential numbering for each layout type, but I've been trying to learn different ways to use rules and have been trying to figure out if it's possible to create some rules to do it all from one file and database. thanks, kim +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Calling all FP Web Users!
