Hi everybody,
I'm on my first foray into charts. Found great info here from Dan and Mark
Hilger that has been very helpful (thanks guys!).
I've got a pie chart working with my data file. And I need to create my
own legend, which also is working. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how
I'd deal with differing amounts of data. If I only have data for 2 pie
pieces for some records, how would I keep the 3rd pie piece in the legend
from showing?
Here's the rule for my legend:
var tableHeader = '';
var tableBody = '';
var tableFooter = '</table>';
var legend = '';
//set the table header markup
tableHeader = '<table columns=3>';
tableHeader += '<column width="2200">';
tableHeader += '<column width="3200">';
tableHeader += '<column width="12000">';
//create table body markup
tableBody = "<row><cell>" + '<color name="red">' + '<f
name="Webdings">g</f></color>' + "<cell>" + Field("Pie1") + "<cell>" +
Field("Legend1");
tableBody += "<row><cell>" + '<color name="green">' + '<f
name="Webdings">g</f></color>'+ "<cell>" +Field("Pie2") + "<cell>" +
Field("Legend2");
tableBody += "<row><cell>" + '<color name="blue">' + '<f
name="Webdings">g</f></color>' + "<cell>" + Field("Pie3") + "<cell>" +
Field("Legend3");
//Bring all the pieces together
legend = tableHeader + tableBody + tableFooter;
return legend;
Thanks for any help!
