FusionPro 5.1 for Windows includes support for Adobe InDesign CS3 on the Windows platform and is offered as a complimentary upgrade to all FusionPro 5.0 customers. You may download FusionPro 5.1 for Windows from the Printable website at: http://www.printable.com/downloads/fusionpro/Win32/ FusionPro 5.1 for Windows allows Printable customers on the Windows platform to transition to the full Adobe CS3 suite and utilize FusionPro Desktop in both Adobe InDesign CS3 and Adobe Acrobat 8 on Windows.
-------------------------------------------------- Installing FusionPro 5.1 -------------------------------------------------- To install FusionPro 5.1 for Windows, please follow these steps: 1) Close Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and QuarkXPress if they are currently running 2) Uninstall your current version of FusionPro. On Windows, this can be done from Add/Remove Programs. 3) Once the un-install process is complete, launch the 5.1 installer program. 4) Use your current 5.0 serial number when prompted during installation. 5) After installation, open Adobe Acrobat and verify that the "FusionPro" menu is visible. This indicates that the installation process was successful. 6) If you use the FusionPro barcode fonts in your VDP templates, run a "Load Fonts" process by going to FusionPro -> Advanced -> Load Fonts If you experience any problems during installation, please contact FusionPro support at [EMAIL PROTECTED] -------------------------------------------------- FusionPro 5.1 For Mac -------------------------------------------------- Printable is actively developing FusionPro 5.1 for Mac which will include support for Adobe Acrobat 8, Adobe InDesign CS3, and Mac OS 10.5. Much of this development work is focused on supporting Adobe Acrobat 8 on Mac for both PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers. Of particular note is Adobe Acrobat 8 support for Mac OS v10.5 (Leopard). As many Printable customers are migrating to Adobe CS3 and Mac OS 10.5, Printable intends to support this most-current environment for the Printable Mac user community. As you may be aware, Adobe Acrobat 8 on Mac OS 10.5 has a number of compatibility issues that Adobe is actively working to address with a free compatibility update - Acrobat 8.1.2 - which is currently slated for a late January release. With Adobe Acrobat 7 not being supported on 10.5 and Acrobat 8 having compatibility issues, Printable is working to ensure that Acrobat 8 Mac users with Mac OS 10.5 are able to utilize FusionPro 5.1 with the new 8.1.2 release when it becomes available. Therefore, the current target release timeframe for FusionPro 5.1 for Mac is slated for February of 2008. We will post additional release details on this release as we get closer to the release timeframe.
