Darren - This is an item that I would go back to the database for even though this could be accomplished by fusion pro - there are too many possibilities for error / exceptions. We create another 'column' that just has the first name. And then just have Dear <<firstname>>, in the text box.
On mailing lists - first names are not always just what is before the first space so it takes some intelligence to sort them. - examples Mark Layton (normal) M.
