Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry in the delayed response. Thanks for all of the help! I'll try to be more specific.

I have a field in both templates called "Building Room Number". The customers Corporate Design Identity always uses an En Dash as a seperator for the zip code and building room number. The zip code format rule was easy to create because the information is always entered as two groups of digits with 5 digits, En Dash, 4 digits (always numbers). The building Format Rule is more complicated because it is always two groups separated by an En Dash. But the problem is that there is not a consistent number of digits that occur on either side of the En Dash. Also sometimes the building room number contains letters along with numbers on either side of the En Dash.

Some Examples:
E19-215 or 19-1235 or E2-14 etc...

Majority of the time customers enter the information using a period, hyphen, forward slash, space, etc.... I have created a rule that formats the entered Building Room Number so that it is always separated by an En Dash. The rule works in the first template and will always return the Building Room Number with an En Dash separator. It works when I validate in the rules, when I compose directly from Fusion Pro, and we have been receiving orders through the web to print solution for a couple of months now without any problems. The strange part is when I copy and paste the rule into the new template and do not revise it at all, and I have checked "Treat returned strings as tagged text" in both templates it doesn't validate or compose properly.

One difference between the templates is that they are using different fonts. I'm not sure if that has any relevance but thought it may be helpful to include

Sorry for the lengthy response. I appreciate all the helpful suggestions!
