I have a solution to PART of your problem. We also number on Carbonless paper.. and instead of creating a database that has duplicates of the same number, it's way easier to duplicate your pages in your template instead and copy and paste the numbering field to each page. Much faster than playing around with the database numbers. Hope that helps a little.
